Beberfall Law School Scholarship

The Beberfall Scholarship is open to students from all majors who will be attending law school this fall. The scholarship will award $1,000 to a graduating student who shows great promise in pursuing a law career.


To qualify for the scholarship, students must meet the following criteria and submit the required materials no later than April 11.


  1. Students must have already been accepted to, and agreed to attend, an American Bar Association-approved law school, starting this fall.
  2. You must fill out an application form and submit an essay outlining why you are attending law school and what winning the scholarship will mean to your studies.
  3. Application forms are available in the Political Science Department, Powdermaker Hall, Room 200 and the History Department, Powdermaker Hall, Room 352.

QC Website Added a Resource Page for Anti-Bullying

Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship

 The program aims to reduce the serious under-representation of individuals from certain minority groups in the ranks of higher education faculty, as well as to address the educational consequences of these disparities. Wednesday, March 16, 12:15-1:30 pm, Honors Hall 17. Fellowship application deadline: 
Wednesday, April 27th. 

Eligibility
Minority students and others with a demonstrated commitment to eradicating racial and ethnic inequalities in the Academy in particular and in society in general, may apply. Students must be sophomores with a minimum GPA of 3.3 and be majoring in a Mellon-designated field.

Students who apply should be seriously considering graduate study toward the Ph.D.

8th Annual CUNY Asian American Film Festival

Submission Guidelines
Person submitting must be a currently enrolled CUNY undergraduate or graduate Student, or recently graduated in Spring/Fall 2010. (Copy of CUNY College ID and current semester's class schedule is required.)
Film must satisfy any one of the following criteria:
  • Production involving at least one Asian personnel
    - Director, Producer, Writer
  • Themes dealing with the Asian American / Asian Diaspora
    - Cultural, Familial, Social, Political
Entry must be received no later than 5PM on Friday, April 29, 2011. Anything received afterwards will not be accepted.
Submitter must be available to attend the Festival on Friday, May 20, 2011. All participants will receive a certificate of participation.
All submission must meet the following requirements:
  • Submission must be in Mini-DV tape and DVD in SP mode.
  • Film length is limited to: (We reserve the rights to reject the screening of film due to length.)
    - 30 minutes for Documentary
    - 20 minutes for Fiction
    - 10 minutes for Experimental
  • Submission must include the following title slates:
    1) 5 second Black Video
    2) "2010 CUNY Asian American Film Festival", title of film, category, and running time
  • Must include credits of all persons working on the project.
  • Limit of one entry per person. All entries must be accompanied by the entry form. Missing material will result in disqualification.

CUNY Thomas Tam Scholarship

Deadline is Friday April 15,2011
